What our pilot learners produced — published unredacted.
A note on methodology. Britwise launched into general availability in 2026. The numbers below come from our early-access pilot cohort (Q1 2026, voluntary opt-in to the efficacy programme). We will publish a peer-reviewed cohort study with a CRESST-style external auditor once we cross our first 5,000 qualifying learners (≥25 days of practice). Until then, every claim on this page is sourced to our internal cohort and we'd rather flag the sample size than inflate it.

Median band gain across qualifying learners: +0.5. 25th percentile: +0.25. 75th percentile: +0.75.

Among learners who completed 25+ days at 25+ min/day, the majority hit their target band. The minority who didn't are eligible for a full refund — and they're still counted in this number.

No survivor bias: every learner who completed both day-0 and day-30 diagnostics is counted, including those who got worse.
METHODOLOGY

Day-0 diagnostic
Eight standardised IELTS Speaking prompts. Cambridge-aligned rubric. Same prompts, same examiner persona, every learner.
Daily practice loop
AI-recommended schedule. 25 minutes a day, 5+ days a week. Streaks tracked.
Day-30 re-test
Same eight prompts. Re-graded by the same model at the same temperature.
Human cross-check
We sample sessions for blind re-grading by Cambridge-trained linguists and recalibrate the model monthly. Variance reports are available to enterprise customers under NDA.
External audit (roadmap)
We're engaging a third-party L&D auditor (in procurement) to sign off cohort numbers quarterly once the pilot phase is complete.
